The Flints release their second single ‘Right Kind Of Love’
Manchester’s The Flints reach back to the past to create a new sound on ‘Right Kind Of Love.’
Today, Manchester twin-duo The Flints release their new single, ‘Right Kind Of Love,’ the second release from their forthcoming debut EP 100 Million Lightyears. The track finds the duo reaching back to the ’70s disco sound and combining it with the sparkling and sleek electronica from the 2000s.
“It’s tried and tested if you look at the likes of the Beegees, Beach Boys, and The Kinks, vocal harmonies are super important.” note The Flints. “We wanted to take the nostalgia from that and bend it into something that sounds new and modern. Having spent so much time writing for other people, we needed to find our own voices again. This is us taking back control of our own creativity.”
The duo continues:
“‘Right Kind Of Love’ is about human connection,” explain George & Henry. “when you connect with somebody in a way that you never expected, and from that point onwards the world feels different… it makes you realise that the past can’t always help you figure out the future…”
‘Right Kind Of Love’ is available today. 100 Million Lightyears is due November 4th via their own Two Minute Music/AWAL.
