the drive. unleash blistering new single ‘nothing crossed.’

Cork four-piece the drive. have released their highly anticipated new single ‘nothing crossed.,’ announcing an Irish headline tour and a London show in the process.
Blistering new single ‘nothing crossed.’ delves into the breaking of promises. Beginning in near silence, Eoin Murphy’s vocal sketches an uneasy tension before guitars and drums surge into a claustrophobic wall of sound. The track channels feelings of uncertainty and displacement, reflecting on promises made and broken both personally and societally.
Singer Eoin Murphy explains:
“As a kid, ‘nothing crossed’ was something people would always say about promises; sometimes breaking, and sometimes keeping them. I wanted to use it as the crux for this song & touch on the society we live in today, and more importantly the future we’re constantly being promised, be that by local TD’s, our government, or even our interpersonal relationships.”
‘nothing crossed.’ is out now. Fans can catch the drive. live at Paper Dress Vintage in London on 15th October, followed by a series of Irish headline dates this autumn.
