Swirls release their new single ‘Powerstation’ today, December 9, 2025, via Howlin’ Banana Records and À Tant Rêver du Roi. The Nantes-based indie rock and slacker punk quartet return with the first preview of their second album, set for release in 2026.

‘Powerstation’ channels the band’s raw, urgent aesthetic with fast tempos, jagged edges, and a sense of chaotic momentum. Built on slacker-punk grit and their signature no-frills delivery, the track captures the feeling of pushing past exhaustion, leaning into energy that feels both fragile and volatile. The single’s brisk pace and unpolished charm highlight Swirls’ blend of indie rock, garage-punk influences, and an undercurrent of scrappy melodicism.

“‘Powerstation’ is an anthem for anyone running on fumes but refusing to shut down. Energy from where there’s none left. A last-push song about scraping the bottom of the tank to give whatever’s still in there. It’s fast, fragile, and hits exactly where it should. Because it’s often when it’s almost too late that we make our best decisions.”

‘Powerstation’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
