Some Fear release their new single ‘I Don’t Want to Spend My Money,’ out now, as the Oklahoma City slowcore four-piece led by Branden “Bran” Palesano preview their sophomore album Word Eater, due April 24, 2026 via Rite Field Records.

‘I Don’t Want to Spend My Money’ captures the band’s evolving sound through churning guitar riffs paired with melodic undertones, maintaining their slowcore foundation while leaning into a fuller, more polished production style. The track centers on financial inequality and personal burnout, with Palesano’s vocal delivery underscoring a sense of frustration and stagnation.

Palesano says:

“This song is about the evil billionaires and companies living off of us like the blood-sucking vampires they are. While we live paycheck to paycheck, they get to live lavishly and abundantly. Makes you want to stay inside and not spend a dime.”

‘I Don’t Want to Spend My Money’ is available now on all streaming platforms.

We’ve covered Some Fear previously: ‘The Faucet Does All The Crying,’ ‘Skin I Can’t Peel.’
