Snuggle unveil ‘Playthings’ ahead of debut album Goodbyehouse

Copenhagen alt-pop duo Snuggle have released their new single ‘Playthings’ as they prepare for the arrival of their debut full-length album Goodbyehouse, set for release September 12, 2025 via Escho.
‘Playthings’ offers a bookish, existential twist on echoes of radio R&B, blending humor with an undercurrent of dread. The track begins with a triangle and ghostly tones, gradually unfolding into a dreamy yet uneasy groove that showcases Snuggle’s knack for combining intricate instrumentation with emotional depth. The single follows a string of standalone releases, including ‘Marigold,’ ‘Dust,’ ‘Woman Lake,’ and ‘Sun Tan.’
“We made ‘Playthings’ in the final stretch of the album. It’s a fever dream, starting with triangle and ghost sounds. It’s about the strange comfort of going in circles with someone.”
Snuggle will bring their new music to the stage with a run of EU and UK tour dates this fall, performing with Swedish folk-rockers Horse Vision and Danish prog-rock legends Mew. Stops include Oslo’s by:Larm on September 11, London’s Club Cheek on December 2, and Helsinki Ice Hall on December 5.
