Dreamy Copenhagen duo Snuggle returns today with a new single, ‘Woman Lake,’ released via Danish label Escho.

Following the hazy allure of their previous singles ‘Marigold‘ and ‘Dust,’ Snuggle — comprised of Andrea Thuesen (Baby in Vain) and Vilhelm Strange (formerly of Liss) — offers their most direct track to date. ‘Woman Lake’ trades in surreal textures for earthy acoustic strums, swells of bowed strings, and a sweeping chorus. The result is a warm, immersive listen that paints a vivid picture of imagined memories and fleeting love.

On the track, Andrea Thuesen of Snuggle shares:

“I have memories of a place I’ve never been — never been to saint Paul or the Cass County lakes — I remember vividly though getting mosquito bites on my eyelids and cannonballing into cloudy waters. Because of stories told by a dear friend.”

‘Woman Lake’ expands Snuggle’s world while offering a more intimate and emotionally direct experience. It’s a tender step forward from a duo continuing to blur the lines between memory and imagination.
