New York City’s shower curtain returns with ‘starpower’ Computerwife Remix, a glitchy, atmospheric rework of their track ahead of the upcoming words from a wishing well (Deluxe Edition), out May 23 via Angel Tapes / Fire Talk.
‘starpower’ Computerwife Remix is sparse yet immersive, with pulsing drum machines anchoring bursts of distortion. The accompanying music video, directed and edited by frontwoman Victoria Winter, features Winter and Computerwife’s Addie Warncke navigating the streets of lower Manhattan, eventually meeting near the Williamsburg Bridge in a grungy, fated encounter. The self-produced video highlights the synergy between the two artists, reinforcing the remix’s otherworldly atmosphere.
The track precedes shower curtain’s 2025 tour, which includes performances at SXSW (March 12-14), Treefort Music Festival, and a West Coast run supporting Dummy. To celebrate the deluxe album release, the band will headline a show at Nightclub 101 in New York on May 24 alongside Jawdropped, Bedridden, and DJ sets from fantasy of a broken heart and Computerwife.
