Sea Fever returns with pulsing new single ‘Loose Cut’

Manchester’s Sea Fever makes a striking return with ‘Loose Cut,’ their first new release in three years. Out now via Cosmic Glue, the synth-heavy track blends indie, post-punk, and electronic elements, showcasing the band’s continued evolution since their 2021 album, Folding Lines.
Built on pulsating beats and shimmering melodies, ‘Loose Cut’ delivers a vibrant yet brooding energy. The track marks a new chapter for the band, coinciding with their signing to Stockport indie label Cosmic Glue and a series of upcoming live dates.
Vocalist Beth Cassidy explains:
“‘Loose Cut’ is about a fractious and unpredictable state of mind. It was written as a series of one-liners, which seemed to suit the energy of the track. The music has a lot to say and kind of speaks for itself, so I peppered it with just a few of my own thoughts.”
As ‘Loose Cut’ introduces a fresh era for Sea Fever, the band’s blend of electronic textures and indie sensibilities remains as compelling as ever.
