Robber Robber unveil glitchy new single ‘The Sound It Made’
Robber Robber release their new single ‘The Sound It Made,’ out now via Fire Talk Records, as the lead track from their forthcoming album Two Wheels Move the Soul, due April 3. The Vermont-based indie rock band has also shared an official music video for the song and announced a US headlining tour in support of the release.
‘The Sound It Made’ opens Two Wheels Move the Soul with immediacy, dropping straight into motion without buildup. The track leans into Robber Robber’s sharp, propulsive indie rock sound, pairing driving guitars and tight percussion with Nina Cates’ conversational vocal delivery. Lyrically, the song moves through fragments of everyday observation and larger unrest, touching on themes of revolution, discomfort, and small personal fixations, all while maintaining a forward momentum that mirrors the record’s sense of instability.
Cates begins, freewheeling into a dissection of revolution, sun allergies, and hating the rain while loving the sound it made:
“Wanna spend a while just me and you // Got sports on the radio, and away we go.”
Robber Robber will support ‘The Sound It Made’ and their upcoming album with a US headlining tour from May 8 in Montreal to May 30 in Philadelphia, stopping in Chicago, New York, Washington, DC, Nashville, and more.
