Rapt maps quiet constellations on new single ‘North Star’
London-based singer-songwriter Rapt (Jacob Ware) releases his new single ‘North Star’ today, the third entry in his ongoing Series Not All Is Dark/All Is Never Lost, which continues via START-TRACK and follows White Sage (released 14/11/25).
Built around intimate storytelling and understated instrumentation, ‘North Star’ captures a fleeting encounter with a loved one at a busy London train station. The track reflects the brief moment of connection, mirroring its short runtime with sparse, emotional clarity. Like the earlier entries ‘Ocean Lay Straight’ and ‘White Sage,’ the new single continues the series’ emphasis on immediacy, vulnerability, and releasing songs “as they are” without revision.
Speaking about the moment that inspired the song, Ware writes:
“We were both returning from trips that reopened old wounds, finding comfort together for a quiet 9 minutes on a bench. The track is as short as our moment was.”
‘North Star’ is now available on all major streaming platforms.
We’ve covered Blackwater Holylight previously: ‘Ocean Lay Straight‘ and ‘I Will Be My End.’
