French indie rock band Pretty Inside have released their brand-new single and video ‘The Person That I Hate,’ the first taste of their upcoming album Ever Gonna Heal, out December 12th, 2025 via Flippin’ Freaks, Howlin’ Banana Records, Les Disques du Paradis, Tête Froide Records, Outatime Records, Permanent Freak, and Hell Vice I Vicious Records.

Formed around frontman Alexis Deux-Seize, also co-founder of Flippin’ Freaks Records, the Bordeaux-based band first broke through in 2021 with their garage rock and power pop debut Grow Up!. After a second record slowed by creative and personal struggles, Pretty Inside are back with renewed energy. ‘The Person That I Hate’ is a fiery slice of timeless rock, where snarling vocals, hypnotic rhythms, and gritty guitar hooks collide. The track pokes fun at the fine line between the narcissism of our screen-obsessed era and deep self-loathing. While the theme leans dark, its upbeat rhythms echo the spirit of Madchester, fusing garage grit with shades of early Nine Inch Nails and the Stone Roses. The single also arrives with a video co-directed by Alexis Deux-Seize and Eddie FZone.

‘The Person That I Hate’ is out now.
