Brooklyn-based artist and composer OHYUNG has released their latest single, ‘i swear that i could die rn,’ alongside an accompanying music video. The track serves as the third and final preview of their forthcoming album, You Are Always On My Mind, set to arrive on March 28 via NNA Tapes & Phantom Limb.

A sweeping electronic dream-pop composition, ‘i swear that i could die rn’ is a deeply introspective exploration of self-discovery and transformation. The song captures the sensation of experiencing something so transcendent that one could embrace the moment fully, even to the point of letting go. With layered, ethereal production and immersive textures, the track encapsulates OHYUNG’s evolving sonic landscape, blending elements of dreamlike ambiance and rhythmic propulsion.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the song, OHYUNG explains:

“The inspiration for the song is the feeling of experiencing something so divine and good that if you died right then and there, it would be a-okay :). For me, I sometimes feel that way when I’m out dancing to music at raves. The song opens with me meeting a version of my future self in a dark, foggy room, the two of us slowly moving to the overwhelming music.”

The release of ‘i swear that i could die rn’ arrives ahead of OHYUNG’s much-anticipated album, You Are Always On My Mind, an expansive and personal work that navigates the dialogue between past and present selves amid their gender transition. The album marks a shift towards an ecstatic, pop-infused sound, balancing moments of euphoria and tension.

‘i swear that i could die rn’ is available now, and You Are Always On My Mind arrives March 28.
