No Joy has released ‘My Crud Princess,’ the latest single from their upcoming album Bugland, due out August 8 via Hand Drawn Dracula and Sonic Cathedral.

‘My Crud Princess’ is a layered and immersive listen—rich in texture, grime, and grace. With glitchy undercurrents and shoegaze-meets-experimental-pop flourishes, the track balances chaos and clarity. It taps into something deeply emotional and oddly tactile, a quality White-Gluz captures in her own words:

“This song is granular. Like you are sifting through deep soil and coming out just covered in crud but still feeling cute. Going a little feral while still trying to maintain composure because you’re in public. Lyrically, we are searching, waiting, and hoping for something or someone – until we finally find it and start to build ourselves into the silt we’ve been digging through. This is for all my other Crud Princesses who like to get dirty!”

The track arrives just over two weeks ahead of the LP’s release, offering a glimpse into the evolving sonic palette of Jasamine White-Gluz’s long-running project. Produced in collaboration with experimental artist Fire-Toolz, Bugland marks No Joy’s first album since 2020’s Motherhood.

No Joy will support Bugland with a fall tour across North America and Europe, including stops in Washington DC, New York, Montreal, London, Berlin, and Paris.
