Nashon ignites the summer with thrilling new single ‘runaway’
The Jersey-bred, Cali-based artist kicks off the new season with an adrenaline-packed dose of pure euphoria in a lawless joyride through the bends of passionate romance.
Produced by Famous Friend (Winnetka Bowling League), Nashon’s new bombshell ‘runaway’ is an irresistibly catchy track filled with sun-drenched riffs, surf rock meets indie punk percussion, and Nashon’s iconoclast vocals that speed into the sunset. The new song represents a rebirth of sorts for Nashon as he took his first steps into writing melodic indie pop/rock, a departure from his hip-hop roots.
Nashon’s unique blend of alt-rock/indie pop invokes flashes of early Steve Lacy steeped in the angst of Jean Dawson & Teezo Touchdown. ‘runaway’ is the first track from his upcoming EP, MARTYR; ACT III, – a finale to his critically acclaimed MARTYR series that explores personal and spiritual relationships, purpose, empathy, and inner truth.
