Moon Panda shares lush new single ‘Superstore’ ahead of upcoming album

California/Danish dream pop quartet Moon Panda have returned with their latest single, ‘Superstore,’ leading up to the release of their third album, Dumb Luck, out September 26 via Moon Panda/Virgin Music Group.
‘Superstore’ captures Moon Panda at their most sensuous yet, blending blissed-out dream pop with emotional depth. Recorded largely in vocalist Maddy Myers’ and guitarist Gustav Moltke’s home studio, the track features bassist/keyboardist George Godwin’s production and Josh Cabitac on drums. Producer Adam Thein, who collaborated with the band on 2023’s Sing Spaceship, Sing!, added the final touches.
Myers explains:
“‘Superstore’ is about the micro moments of wanting to convince your partner of what you can be for them. I told our producer I wanted the chorus to feel like that scene in the movie ‘Challengers’ where they are outside and the trash is blowing everywhere. Total chaos and longing.”
‘Superstore’ is out now. Moon Panda will support Dumb Luck with a Fall U.S. tour, including new Texas dates. Fans can pre-order the album and stream the single across all digital platforms.
