Moody Joody’s ‘El Camino High’ captures nostalgic glamour

Shimmer pop trio Moody Joody unveils their latest single, ‘El Camino High,’ a sultry and cinematic track accompanied by a stunning new music video, now streaming everywhere.
With kaleidoscopic visuals and a moody aesthetic, ‘El Camino High’ delves into the longing and romanticization of a past relationship. The video, directed by Gavin Geddes, exudes vintage charm with leather jackets, fur coats, and the titular Chevy El Camino, lending a smoky allure to the narrative. Featuring rich lighting and fluid movement, it portrays themes of unrequited love and wistful memories. The band even sourced the classic car through Facebook Marketplace, reflecting their hands-on approach to their art.
Lead vocalist and guitarist Kayla Hall shared her vision for the video, stating:
“This is one of those videos that I knew I wanted to feel dramatic and whimsical and Gavin absolutely crushed the music video treatment. The video captures the feeling of longing, unrequited love, romanticizing the past all through the visuals, lighting, and movement.”
‘El Camino High’ comes at a pivotal moment for Moody Joody, representing their growth as artists and providing a fitting conclusion to their debut EP, Dream Girl.
