Mont Loser release debut single ‘Never Guess’ ahead of upcoming album Confessional
French grunge trio Mont Loser have announced their arrival on Géographie with their debut single, ‘Never Guess.’ The track serves as the first preview from their forthcoming debut album, Confessional, due out in early 2026.
Abrasive and emotionally charged, ‘Never Guess’ captures Mont Loser’s gritty approach to grunge, blending distorted guitars, noise rock tension, and a sense of dark humor. The song arrives alongside a surreal video described as a “night-time party among wild animals,” fitting the band’s off-kilter aesthetic and chaotic energy.
Discussing the track, Mont Loser shared:
“hey it’s mont loser. how have u been? just wanted to say we dropped a track. It’s called Never Guess. it’s about when you broke my heart last summer
“it’s also about some random science stuff, idk why, I must have watched too many episodes of Cosmos.
“Maybe you should listen to it, if you want to. It reminds me of when we’d listen to the Melvins and Gwen Stefani together… Anyway, if you wanna go grab a coffee or something sometime… lmk…

“ps: oh and we also shot a video with the girls this summer. it was at an after party with some forest animals, I was trying to forget you.. (it didn’t work)
