Irish pop-rock sensation modernlove. makes a powerful return with their latest single, “Don’t Feel Myself,” a nostalgic anthem that delves into themes of existential crisis and coping mechanisms.

Released on March 27th, 2024, the track marks a significant moment for the band, following a successful global tour and a trailblazing year in 2023. In ‘Don’t Feel Myself,’ modernlove. explores the depths of disassociation and identity crisis, weaving a narrative of a tumultuous night out intertwined with personal struggles. Collaborating with producer Tom Leach, the band delivers a dynamic sonic experience, blending chaotic drum and bass rhythms with dizzying guitar hooks.

When asked about the inspiration behind the song, modernlove. explained:

“‘Don’t Feel Myself’ is about going through bouts of disassociation, existential crisis, and having a crisis of identity compounded with unhealthy lifestyle choices and coping mechanisms. It explores these themes through an analogous story of a ‘mad night out’ in which we drunkenly stumble through a number of different shady settings and wrestle with all kinds of troubles/situations from panic attacks and derealisation to bursts of mania that inevitably end up in us being consumed with existential dread the morning after.”

‘Don’t Feel Myself’ is available today.
