Minais B unveils final single ‘3 Phases’ ahead of new album release

Copenhagen-based experimental artist Minais B has shared ‘3 Phases,’ the final single from his upcoming album And I Know I Can Feel Bad When I Get in a Bad Mood, set for release this Friday, June 20, 2025, via Anyines.
‘3 Phases’ is a sherbet-hued, synth-soaked piece that combines irony and vulnerability. Anchored by full-bodied drum machines and sun-faded textures, the song explores the emotional contradictions of post-therapy domestic life. It’s a track that cleverly contrasts lyrical bitterness with its melodic sweetness. With cello performed by Cæcilie Trier and a one-take drum session from Jens Konrad Barrett, the track balances organic elements with shimmering electronic layers.
On the single, Minais B Shares:
“This song was written in my hometown Birkerød where the snow was falling. It started out as a voice memo, but I was singing so out of pitch that I couldn’t really decipher the melody. The words survived though. To me, it is a dance between bitterness and self-irony, revolving around a famous North American talk show. The cello theme is played by the amazing Cæcilie Trier and Jens Konrad Barrett is on one-take drums.”
With ‘3 Phases,’ Minais B delivers a standout single that encapsulates the spirit of his new album—sentimental but self-aware, dramatic yet grounded. It’s a quietly bold step forward that sets the tone for what promises to be a rich and emotionally resonant full-length release.
