Middle Part unleashes spirited anthem ‘Get Fixed’ as a prelude to debut album

The energetic track serves as the opening for his forthcoming debut album, Disruptor, scheduled for release next year.
Brooklyn-based artist Middle Part, the brainchild of Andy Selkōw, has released the initial single from his forthcoming debut album, Disruptor. ‘Get Fixed’ encapsulates the spirit of a raucous anthem, reminiscent of early 2000s coming-of-age comedies like American Pie, exploring the angst of growing up and the acceptance of aging. The song sees Middle Part juxtapose the emotional turbulence of growing up with the acceptance of aging and the weight of regrets.
As for the album, the creation was a collaborative effort, with much of it written and recorded between New York and a friend’s cabin in Maine near Sebago Lake. Middle Part worked alongside long-time friend and producer Brian Zaremba and producers Michael Andrews and Frank Corr of The Drums and Morning Silk, and James McDermott of DBA James & Bayfaction. The album gracefully addresses themes such as depression, self-acceptance, and the challenges of aging, as it promises to take listeners on an immersive sonic journey.
