Australian artist Merryn Jeann unveils her enchanting single ‘Subconscious Love Connections,’ a melodic journey capturing the essence of magical and defiant connections.
Merryn Jeann has released her first single of 2024. Entitled ‘Subconscious Love Connections,’ the track arrives alongside a fun, self-directed music video. The piece serves as the final glimpse into her forthcoming full-length album, Dog Beach, scheduled for release on February 23rd via her co-founded label Rescue + Return Records.
Crafted during the lockdown in Paris, where Merryn was residing, ‘Subconscious Love Connections’ draws inspiration from a voice message received from a dear friend back in Australia. The song beautifully encapsulates the enduring nature of true friendship that transcends physical distance.
Merryn shares her heartfelt insight into the track, stating:
“This song is about the love we feel because we have love to feel. My friend was reaching out to myself and another best friend, whimpering over the phone that she wished we were with her as her home was flooded in and everyone was in a moody rain mood so weren’t answering their phones/ weren’t close enough with her to be contacted in this moment of sadness and hopelessness.”
The accompanying music video, shot at a local gas station with friends who inspired the song, adds another layer of depth to the immersive experience of ‘Subconscious Love Connections.’
‘Subconscious Love Connections’ is out now, paving the way for the highly anticipated Dog Beach, set to release on February 23rd.
