Martial Arts release new post-punk single ‘Triumph’

Manchester-based post-punk band Martial Arts returns with their latest single, ‘Triumph,’ delivering a powerful anthem that challenges societal pressures and conformity.
Out now on Akoustik Anarkhy, Martial Arts’ latest single ‘Triumph,’ was born from the wreckage of their former rehearsal space. Produced by Seadna McPhail, the single was recorded in a disused church on the coast, a setting that helped amplify its cavernous and charged sound. The song is an incisive critique of the expectations placed on individuals, with Martial Arts weaving together potent lyrics and a relentless instrumental backdrop to deliver their message.
Frontman Jim Marson explains:
“‘Triumph’ is a rallying cry for anyone who feels stifled by societal pressures. It’s an exploration of the tension between personal desires and the pressures of society. Societal norms can suffocate the younger generation, many of whom can feel out of place in a world that demands conformity. It questions the true cost of such conformity to our own potential and values.”
With ‘Triumph,’ Martial Arts continue to build on their reputation as socially conscious, boundary-pushing artists.
