MarMar releases sensual single ‘Imposter’ featuring Becca Kruger
The track, released via Seeking Blue Records, marks another addition to MarMar’s growing discography and serves as a precursor to his upcoming EP, Feel Okay.
Over the past few months, MarMar has been on a roll with the release of his last three singles: ‘Call On You,’ ‘Try’ (feat. LUUNG), and ‘Heart.’ Today, the American/French producer MarMar continues to impress with his latest single ‘Imposter,’ featuring the enchanting vocals of American artist Becca Kruger. The genesis of the track can be traced back to a writing camp hosted by Seeking Blue in November 2023. Nestled in a cabin amidst the woods near Vancouver, MarMar found himself surrounded by a wealth of talent, including the gifted Becca Kruger. It was during this immersive experience that the idea for ‘Imposter’ took shape.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, MarMar shares:
“What a special track. I had a conversation with Becca on the first day of our writing camp in Canada with Seeking Blue where we both expressed how wild it was to be surrounded by such talent. We both felt heavy imposter syndrome being there and were having this great conversation about that feeling and how it was affecting us at that moment. That ended up becoming the base for ‘Imposter,” and Robert Gillies joined us to help create the story for the track. We wrote a lot about how the feeling of being an Imposter also affects our friendships and daily life. It was great to be able to express something as vulnerable as that with this track.”
