Rising London indie upstarts Lip Filler follow up their self-titled EP with their fifth single of 2023, ‘Limelite.’

Following the band’s debut EP released in May of this year, their latest track embodies the frenzied allure of noughties dance-punk coupled with a youthful ethos. Newly released single, ‘Limelite,’ offers a potent display of their powers with frontman George Tucker’s fervent pleas for understanding “you’re talking like it’s over / when we just need some space” spliced between jagged guitars and explosive percussion.

Discussing the new single ‘Limelite,’ the band said:

“‘Limelite’ is very much an embodiment of mixed emotions; not being sure what the best thing is for yourself and projecting these uncertainties onto someone else. Being caught between two minds, acting impulsively yet irrationally. I feel like this song captures an adolescent naïveté which is self-ashamedly honest. This is the first song that we ever wrote as a band – I think that it’s very fitting of that (in a funny way).”

Lip Filler’s new single ‘Limelite’ is out now on Chess Club Records.
