Lei Hope delivers a soulful meditation discussing the lost time between siblings on ‘Little Sign’

Lei Hope returns today with ‘Little Sign,’ the first single from his upcoming EP INERTIA, due out July 23 via Heist or Hit.
Rooted in a woozy groove and anchored by soft, layered guitars, ‘Little Sign’ showcases Hope’s gift for restraint and emotional clarity. The Zimbabwe-born, Leeds-raised, and Manchester-based artist uses the track to reflect on a distant relationship with his younger brother—both emotionally and geographically. As the rhythm holds its quiet patience, Hope captures the ache of disconnection without ever tipping into melodrama, allowing his nuanced delivery and subtle production to carry the emotional weight.
Hope explains:
“I think I just needed a reset. Coming back to Manchester after travelling gave me space to reflect. ‘Little Sign’ was the first song I made in that headspace and it set the tone for everything that followed.”
‘Little Sign’ is out now on Heist or Hit. INERTIA arrives July 23.
