With their third studio album Something Possessed set to release on January 24 via Siluh Records, Laundromat Chicks tease fans with their latest single, ‘Secrets,’ a jangle-pop gem that encapsulates the band’s unique sound.

‘Secrets’ blends the bright guitar-driven energy of the 1980s Dunedin Sound with a free-spirited, cinematic quality reminiscent of Wim Wenders’ road movies. The song delivers a polished yet vulnerable charm, its upbeat tone carrying a tender love song at its heart. This duality—swagger and fragility—has become the hallmark of Laundromat Chicks’ sound, positioning them as a standout act in Vienna’s vibrant indie scene.

Songwriter Tobias Hammermüller says of the track:

“‘Secrets’ is less about the things people keep from each other, more about the things we take for granted about another person. It’s very obviously a love song and very obviously inspired by the Field Mice.”

As a final preview of Something Possessed, ‘Secrets’ offers a compelling glimpse into the band’s evolved artistry.
