Large shares expansive new single ‘Worth Repeating’ ahead of debut album
Large have released their new single ‘Worth Repeating,’ offering the latest preview of the debut album Marine Life, due January 30, 2026 via German Turnip / Large Music.
The indie rock project of Canadian-born songwriter and guitarist Jamie Hilsden presents ‘Worth Repeating’ as a spacious, atmospheric track. Centered on pulsing drums, 12-string guitars, and ambient keyboards, the song builds gradually and maintains a steady, looping feel before opening into a rare, cathartic guitar solo. The song showcases Large’s blend of classic melody and modern indie texture.
Hilsden explains the origins of the song in his own words:
“I wrote this one in a rare single sitting. The words arrived long before I understood what they meant — just lines spilling out around the idea of loops: mental loops, behavioral loops, generational loops. And the music loops too. I didn’t realize until later that the entire song is basically the same melody repeating itself. The chorus came first and I went with it because it felt kind of funny. Looking back, it ended up being kind of sad too.”
‘Worth Repeating’ is available now on all streaming platforms. Marine Life is set for release on January 30, 2026, via German Turnip / Large Music.
