Australian artist JVLY releases the new single ‘Drowning In My Room (Contrecoeur Remix),’ out now via Mammal Sounds and offering the first look at the upcoming SUNDER Deluxe Edition.

Contrecoeur’s rework transforms the original track’s fragile, R&B-leaning introspection into a hypnotic, groove-forward experience. Built around fluid production and smooth electronic textures, the remix expands the emotional palette of the original while preserving its intimate core. The French artist and producer reimagines the song’s atmosphere as something more luminous, blending subtle rhythms with a slow-burn build that expands the track into a wider sonic space.

JVLY states:

“I love how Contrecoeur somehow makes every song feel like something from a rooftop at sunset somewhere in Paris, that’s why I wanted her to do this remix. She took the essence of ‘Drowning In My Room’ and opened the window to let the light in. She flipped it in an almost anthemic kind of way where it feels like the same world, just from a different angle.”

‘Drowning In My Room (Contrecoeur Remix)’ is available now on all streaming platforms.

We’ve covered JVLY previously: ‘Walked The Sun,’ ‘Drowning In My Room,’ ‘Locum,’ ‘South,’ ‘Haze,’ ‘Here,’ ‘Tacit‘ featuring Una Mey, ‘Ambien,’ and ‘Swim.’
