Julia-Sophie releases new single ‘telephone’ from upcoming debut solo album

Anglo-French avant-garde electronic pop artist Julia-Sophie returns with ‘telephone,’ the second single from her upcoming debut solo album forgive too slow.
Out now, ‘telephone’ follows the May release of her previous single ‘numb.’ The single is accompanied by a music video shot in one continuous take, encapsulating the song’s breathless, dreamy, ’80s-inspired sound.
The new track delves into the complexities of wistful love, as described by Julia-Sophie:
“In ‘telephone’ I wanted to communicate that feeling of true wistful love, the feeling you have when you find that one person who makes you feel more alive than anyone else ever has. It feels magical. But then, as always for me, real life comes in and fucks it all up. Once again, I find myself trapped by the stories of my past, the ones I spend my life trying to run from, only to find myself alone.”
‘telephone’ is out now. Her upcoming album, forgive too slow, releases July 26, 2024.
