I.M the Artist unveils a fusion of musical styles on new single ‘these days / outspoken introvert’

Gothenburg-born and London-based alternative singer/songwriter I.M the artist, also known as Issa, has released her first single of 2024, ‘these days / outspoken introvert.’
The single, a dynamic fusion of two contrasting halves, offers listeners a multi-dimensional, cross-genre experience. The first half presents an electronic, distorted lo-fi sound, reflecting on the complexities of existing in the digital age where online and real life intertwine. In the second half of the track, infused with a soulful R&B essence, I.M the artist delves deeper into societal narratives and the struggles faced by her generation.
Speaking on the first half of the track, I.M the artist shares:
“In part 1 [these days] I reflect on how it feels to exist in this media age where online and real life are so symbiotic. It brings about these existential questions of; who are we without all the noise? We’re constantly plugged in and we have this deep desire to be seen and understood, yet the input is often overwhelming and unfulfilling. It’s all become quite paradoxical. Ironically, the internet used to be a place to escape to, now it’s what we’re trying to escape from.”
Released via APOLLO Distribution, the track is out now on your favorite streaming service.
