Heavenly return with ‘Scene Stealing’ ahead of Highway To Heavenly
UK indiepop band Heavenly share their new single and video ‘Scene Stealing,’ along with a Spanish language version titled ‘Roba Escenas,’ out now ahead of their first new album in 30 years, Highway To Heavenly, released Feb. 27, 2026 via Skep Wax.
‘Scene Stealing’ opens with bright, danceable energy while tackling the culture of self-obsessed YouTube influencers who don’t know how to treat women with respect. The track balances melody with pointed commentary, reflecting the band’s long-standing blend of indiepop sweetness and sharp-edged politics. The accompanying video mirrors that tension, beginning innocently before taking a darker turn. The Spanish version, ‘Roba Escenas,’ offers a translated take on the same song, expanding its reach to the band’s Spanish-speaking audience.
Regarding the video, Rob Pursey said:
“It looks innocent to start with, but it gets dark. Like a typical Heavenly song! ‘Scene Stealing’ is about YouTubers, so we needed young actors. Luckily our daughter Ivy persuaded three of her mates to perform alongside her.”
‘Scene Stealing’ and ‘Roba Escenas’ are available now on all streaming platforms.
