Headaches shares dreamy new single ‘Yuzu In The Sun’

Sydney-based artist Headaches, the new project from Melisa Bester (formerly known as E^ST), has released ‘Yuzu In The Sun,’ a lush and experimental slice of deconstructed pop. Following their debut single under the new moniker, this second release continues to shape Headaches’ distinct sound while offering a deeply emotive narrative.
Written and produced by Bester with additional production from Maxwell Byrne (1tbsp, Golden Vessel), ‘Yuzu In The Sun’ blends dreamy textures with an indie-electronic pulse. The track’s layered production and tender vocal delivery create an intimate, immersive soundscape that mirrors the emotional depth of its subject matter.
“This song is about exploring something new via a physical connection with someone. It’s about the intimacy and beauty that exists in a tentative and new connection, acknowledging the fleeting quality of the connection while another part of you longs to assign to it a bigger meaning. It’s about full-body, heart and soul yearning.”
‘Yuzu In The Sun’ also serves as a preview of Headaches’ upcoming debut EP Looking for Something New, set for release in late 2025.
