Glixen share immense new single ‘Sick Silent’
Phoenix shoegaze band Glixen has unveiled their latest single, ‘Sick Silent,’ offering listeners a profound, heavy sonic experience paired with ethereal vocals.
Released via AWAL, ‘Sick Silent’ delves deeper into Glixen’s noise-laden melodic rock. The track blends intense guitar riffs with bracing drums, creating a wall of sound that envelops the listener. It feels like a warm, comforting embrace in a chaotic storm of noise.
Lead vocalist Aislinn Ritchie explains:
“‘sick silent’ is like a meadow in a dark forest, evoking feelings of temporality. There are currents of distortion and reverse reverb enveloped in adrenaline-inducing percussion and hard-hitting bass lines with vocals that shine through piercing layers of guitars giving a glimpse of the world that Glixen lives in.”
As the band continues to tour with Turnover, Tanukichan, and Glare this fall, ‘Sick Silent’ is a powerful statement of Glixen’s growing mastery of their signature sound.
