Frog announces seventh album ‘The Count’ with smoky new single’ Bitten By My Love Var XI’

Cult New York band Frog are back with their latest single ‘Bitten By My Love Var XI,’ a strange and smoky offering that arrives today ahead of their seventh album The Count, due September 19 via Tapewormies and Audio Antihero.
‘Bitten By My Love Var XI’ introduces the new era of Frog with an off-kilter yet compelling sound. The track continues the band’s fascination with variations on a theme, following February’s 1000 Variations on the Same Song. Where that record returned to Frog’s indie rock and alt-country roots, The Count takes a sharper left turn. Across its ten variations, frontman Daniel Bateman assumes the role of a mysterious piano-playing New Yorker whose songs about love, lust, and loss arrive in a form unlike any of Frog’s previous material.
‘Bitten By My Love Var XI’ is out now. The Count arrives September 19 with more singles to follow.
