Foo Fighters drummer and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Taylor Hawkins has died at 50.

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins has died. The band released a statement announcing the news on Friday night (March 25) via their social media. The statement reads:

The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live with us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.

Hawkins joined the Foo Fighters in 1997 and has been a member ever since. Prior to joining the Foo Fighters, he was the touring drummer for Sass Jordan and Alanis Morissette.

Hawkins was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Foo Fighters in the Class of 2021.
