Flipturn Teams Up with Old Mervs on New Version of ‘Burnout Days’ Ahead of UK Tour

flipturn and Old Mervs have released a new version of ‘Burnout Days’ ahead of their UK and European tour this November.
The new collaboration follows a chance onstage moment when both bands played a sold-out afterparty together at Chicago’s Park West after Lollapalooza. The synergy from that performance carried into the studio, where the two acts combined their creative energy to put a new spin on the title track from flipturn’s acclaimed album Burnout Days. The album, released earlier this year, has been praised for its irresistible hooks, shimmering soundscapes, and deeply personal storytelling.
flipturn frontman Dillon Basse says:
“‘We’ve always thought ‘Burnout Days’ was a summer song, and since we will be coming over during the Australian summer we thought they would be the perfect fit.'”
Old Mervs’ Dave House adds:
“‘We are absolutely stoked with this collab with flipturn! ‘Burnout Days’ is such a fun song and playing around in the studio with it was a blast.'”
flipturn will bring Burnout Days overseas this November, with UK shows across Manchester, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin, Bristol, Leeds, and their biggest London date yet at O2 Forum Kentish Town on November 14th.
‘Burnout Days’ is out now.
