Flat Party unveil new single ‘It’s All Been Done Before’ ahead of upcoming EP

London-based indie rock band Flat Party has dropped the title track from their forthcoming EP It’s All Been Done Before, due out on November 15th via Submarine Cat Records.
The new single, ‘It’s All Been Done Before,’ encapsulates the band’s distinctive blend of heavy distortion, wide vocal harmonies, and emotive storytelling. The track, co-produced by Chris McCrory, is steeped in melancholic tones and introspective lyrics.
Frontman Jack Lawther shares how the song’s conflicting emotions reflect his personal experience:
“The music of this song is quite melancholic and unsure of itself, while the lyrics are just pure love. It’s kind of fitting that the relationship I was writing about didn’t work out in the end; I was singing something that I didn’t believe and that’s evident in the song. Musically, this is the most “alt-rock” we’ve ever been; it’s romantic, desperate, and boastful.”
‘It’s All Been Done Before’ is out now. Their forthcoming EP It’s All Been Done Before, is set for release on November 15th via Submarine Cat Records.
