Fig Tape reveals fierce new single ‘Focal Point’ from upcoming debut album
Norwegian artist Fig Tape has returned with an aggressive new single, ‘Focal Point.’
‘Focal Point,’ taken from Fig Tape’s forthcoming debut album Forcefed Serenity (due October 24), is a relentless track that collides pounding electronic drums with catchy pop-rock guitar riffs and a driving bassline. The single captures an intensity that is both infectious and uncompromising, pushing Fig Tape further into the spotlight of Europe’s forward-thinking music scene.
Fig Tape explains:
“When I made ‘Focal Point,’ I was in a period of listening to a lot of UK punk. I was super inspired by that sound and went to the studio alone, messing around with some weird synth that eventually turned into the track. And yes, the bass riff is actually a stock synth in Ableton.”
With ‘Focal Point,’ Fig Tape pushes his sound to new heights and gives listeners another powerful preview of Forcefed Serenity.
