Ella Ion shares new single ‘Blue Black Crows’ ahead of Australian tour

Emerging Adelaide singer-songwriter Ella Ion has released her latest single ‘Blue Black Crows,’ recorded just before her recent UK and EU tour, which included a standout appearance at Green Man Festival and support slots for Jake Bugg and Greg Mendez.
‘Blue Black Crows’ showcases Ion’s ability to cut deep with raw emotion, blending indie-rock, folk, and country. The track was produced with Stefan Blair of Good Morning, mixed by Dylan Young of Way Dynamic, and mastered by Liam “Snowy” Halliwell of Snowy Band—the same team behind Ion’s earlier 2025 releases ‘Map’/’Creature Skin’ and ‘Mess In Your Eyes’/’Vultures.’
Ion explains:
“‘Blue Black Crows’ feels like one of the rawest things I’ve written so far. It came together quickly in the studio with Stefan, Dylan, and Snowy, who all understood exactly where the song needed to go. It’s about holding onto the parts of yourself that feel battered but still beautiful.”
This week, Ella Ion kicks off an Australian tour that includes dates at BIGSOUND and shows alongside Folk Bitch Trio, a group she has previously toured with across the UK and EU. The run will bring her from Adelaide and Sydney to Melbourne, Brisbane, Fremantle, and beyond.
‘Blue Black Crows’ is out now on all streaming platforms.
