Elizabeth M. Drummond shares single and video for ‘Bullet’
Elizabeth M. Drummond strips everything away for her latest single ‘Bullet.’
Singer-songwriter Elizabeth M. Drummond has shared her latest song. The track is a sparse 4-minute affair where she strips everything down to the bare minimum. Recorded during the pandemic each part of the track was completed in isolation.
On the track, Drummond explains:
“I wrote ‘Bullet’ at a time where I was really being forced to let go and face myself. My co-producer, James Seymour, suggested we record it live – just me and a guitar. I don’t think the song would be the same if we hadn’t done this.”
Regarding the video, Drummond had this to say:
“Rick had this idea of a woman going about her life, constantly shadowed by a lifeless version of herself. It felt like an apt picture of where I was at when I wrote the song. I wasn’t prepared to let go of a period of my life that had, for lack of a better word, died.”
‘Bullet’ is available to listen to today. Watch the video below.
Keep an eye out for Drummond’s upcoming Congratulations EP out November 18 via Young Poet.
