Ducks Ltd. shares new single ‘When You’re Outside’

Produced by Dave Vettriano (known for his work with Dehd, Deeper, and Lala Lala) the track was released through Carpark Records.
Ducks Ltd. has released their latest single, ‘When You’re Outside.’ The track, recorded during the sessions for their acclaimed album Harm’s Way album, showcases the band’s signature style, anchored by Tom McGreevy’s vocals and featuring harmonies from Julia Steiner (Ratboys) and Margaret McCarthy (Moontype).
Explaining the inspiration behind the song, McGreevy shares:
“This was one we wrote pretty early in the process for Harm’s Way, which was a period when a lot of country-leaning ideas were working their way into our arrangements. I’d demoed the harmonies in the chorus (badly), and when we were working on backing vocals with Julia and Margaret they immediately understood what we were trying to do and really elevated it.”
Despite not fitting into the sequence for the album, ‘When You’re Outside’ offers something new for Ducks Ltd., showcasing a different side of the band’s sound and lyrical themes. McGreevy describes it as a song about trying to support someone who makes it difficult to do so, exploring themes of unconditional love and navigating complex relationships.
‘When You’re Outside’ is out now.
