daysormay’s new single ‘SIMMER’ explores the allure of impulses

Canadian indie band daysormay returns with their latest single, ‘SIMMER,’ a track that dives deep into the experience of succumbing to one’s impulses.
‘SIMMER,’ marks the band’s collaboration with 3-time Grammy and Juno award-winning producer Chin Injeti, known for his work with industry giants such as Dr. Dre, Drake, Eminem, Aloe Blacc, and Anderson .Paak. The track is pulled from their upcoming full-length album, MODERATION, slated for release later this year on the TAG Music label, distributed by The Orchard.
Vocalist Aidan Andrews reflects on the song’s inspiration, saying:
“There was a point in 2021 when I had covid, and I was isolated in my room for a while. I was really struggling at the time to moderate my consumption of everything, I was giving into any and every impulse that showed up, and I didn’t care. So to me, the song is speaking from that place, that state of mind of knowing you’re too far gone but not caring, and even leaning into it.”
‘SIMMER’ is out now.
