Das Koolies unleash a sonic storm with ‘Masters Of Mankind’ ahead of UK tour

‘Masters Of Mankind’ is a tech-infused psychedelic odyssey from the Super Furry Animals quartet.
Das Koolies, the collaborative force of Super Furry Animals’ Huw Bunford, Cian Ciarán, Daf Ieuan, and Guto Pryce, sweeps listeners into a heady, tumbling tech torrent with their latest single, ‘Masters Of Mankind.’ Released as a precursor to their first UK tour and featured on their expansive debut album, DK.01, the track embodies a cacophony of beats behind provocative social commentary.
Featuring rapper Killa Kela and incorporating vibrant strands from album recording sessions and previously lost tapes, ‘Masters Of Mankind’ pays homage to diverse influences including Michael Jackson’s Thriller, Sly and The Family Stone, and Sesame Street’s street-smart soul splendor.
Das Koolies state of the track:
“‘Masters Of Mankind’ is a black sheep, welcomed into the fold with open arms. Ideas that lived quietly with us until it was their time and new ideas that appear even more urgent to us as time races on. Money. Power. Data. All three. What will a world where bits outnumber atoms look like? Our great-grandchildren might be the ones to find out.”
Das Koolies’ “Masters Of Mankind” is out today.
Tour dates are as follows:
January 24 – Cardiff, Clwb Ifor Bach – SOLD OUT
January 25 – Manchester, YES Basement – SOLD OUT
January 26 – London, Moth Club
January 28 – Glasgow, King Tuts
March 23 – Bristol, Ritual Union
