Cursive releases new single ‘Bloodbather’ with a horror-themed video starring Shannon Purser and Aurora Perrineau

Ahead of their 10th studio album Devourer, Cursive has unveiled their latest single ‘Bloodbather,’ accompanied by a striking music video.
‘Bloodbather’ explores internal battles, with lead singer Tim Kasher reflecting on the struggle to be a better person while feeling tempted to indulge in vices. The song builds tension with its emotional crescendo, culminating in a powerful and chaotic finale. The accompanying video, directed by Chelsea Stardust, stars Shannon Purser (Stranger Things) and Aurora Perrineau (Westworld) in a dark, prom-themed narrative that spirals into a fight club.
Kasher explains:
“‘Bloodbather’ is the internal dialogue I assume most of us have, the squabbles of conscience to be a more upstanding person when you’d much prefer to wallow in your vices.”
As fans await the release of Devourer this Friday, ‘Bloodbather’ sets the tone for what promises to be one of Cursive’s most ambitious albums yet.
