Liverpool band Courting return with a bold collaboration alongside New York rapper RXKNephew on their new single ‘Rollback Freestyle.’

The track arrives as part of the announcement of How to Thread the Needle and Come Out the Other Side to Tell the Story, Or: Lust for Life, a deluxe version of their acclaimed third album Lust for Life, out October 24th via Lower Third Recordings. The expanded release features seven additional tracks, including demos, live renditions, and remixes of fan favorites ‘Pause at You’ and ‘Namcy,’ as well as the collaboration with RXKNephew. Known for his prolific output and chaotic style, RXKNephew brings an unpredictable energy to the band’s experimental, industrial-tinged production.

Speaking further on the album’s extension, vocalist and songwriter Sean Murphy O’Neill said:

“Hardly just a deluxe, but an inversion – this release is an attempt to add new layers to the dual thematics of Lust for Life(…), by twisting original songs into new beasts entirely, through either doubling up the processing, or stripping it back altogether. Songs written in bedrooms are now opened up and collaborative, whereas songs written on stages are re-interpreted from outside perspectives. Some songs are re-performed live, in the same studio, but with a year of touring forcing them to shift and evolve.”

In addition to the single and deluxe album announcement, Courting have confirmed a run of UK and EU live dates this fall, including stops in Paris, Ghent, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, and Brighton, following a sold-out show at Paper Dress Vintage in London.

With ‘Rollback Freestyle’ and How to Thread the Needle and Come Out the Other Side to Tell the Story, Or: Lust for Life, Courting continues to expand their sonic boundaries while keeping listeners on their toes.
