Concrete Husband shares duality with two singles ‘Despedida’ & ‘Your Pulse’ from his debut album
Concrete Husband, the Brooklyn-based producer and composer Carlos Aguilar, offers a glimpse into the duality of his artistry with the release of two new singles, ‘Despedida’ and ‘Your Pulse.’ The tracks preview his forthcoming album Piel, set for release on December 6 via White Owl Records.
The two singles represent distinct sides of Aguilar’s musical identity. ‘Despedida’ highlights his classical training and skill as a flutist, weaving ethereal ambient compositions that are emotionally charged and introspective. In contrast, ‘Your Pulse’ dives into Aguilar’s groove-based techno side, with a pulsating rhythm that is both propulsive and sensual, showcasing his talent for creating dancefloor-ready tracks.
Speaking about the emotional inspiration behind Piel, Aguilar shared:
“Everyone else thought my relationship was perfect, and in my own fantasy so did I – but it was violent. He was lost, and I was lost too. Piel is me coming back to myself.”
With these two new singles, Concrete Husband gives listeners a taste of the emotional and sonic range to expect from his upcoming album, blending introspective ambient sounds with raw, energetic techno.
