Common Holly pokes at perfectionism on spiky new single ‘Enough’

Montreal-based artist Brigitte Naggar, known as Common Holly, returns with her new single ‘Enough,’ a sharp-edged and sonically playful preview of her upcoming album Anything Glass, out June 13 via Paper Bag Records and Keeled Scales.
Following the serene beauty of ‘Aegean blue,’ ‘Enough’ offers a contrast—leaning into texture, noise, and a sense of unease. Co-produced with longtime collaborator Devon Bate, the track departs from a single sonic identity, toeing the line between indie rock, acoustic playfulness, and even a brush with ’90s hip hop rhythms. It’s a song that grapples with self-doubt, perfectionism, and the elusive feeling of sufficiency, delivered with warmth and a wink of mischief.
Brigitte shares:
“This track represents a spikier part of the record. It pokes out with sharper edges and a bit of noise. It speaks to the process of imagining that there could be such a thing as ‘enough-ness,’ and asks us to answer—enough for who? And for what?”
‘Enough’ is out now. Anything Glass arrives June 13 and is now available for pre-order on vinyl.
