Fresh off the heels of his recent single ‘Monday Morning,’ which teased his forthcoming album, cln offers another glimpse into his musical universe with the ethereal and soothing sounds of ‘ihopeyoufindsomeone.’ This heartfelt single delves into the contemplation of life’s meaning and the desire for a lasting legacy.
Reflecting on the track’s essence, cln shares:
“This is a song about wanting to be remembered + the meaning of life in general. I think most people have some sort of desire to leave a lasting imprint on the world, so this vaguely touches on that feeling.”
Known for his transformative creative process, cln reveals:
“Usually my songs sound super different to the original demo, but in this case I decided to keep it quite raw + close to the first idea. I wrote and recorded this at 4000 studios in Brisbane, where I have been spending a bit more time writing in the past year. I love working at home, but for this string of singles, I wanted to get out of my comfort zone/home studio and write somewhere different. It’s also really easy to get distracted at home and start working on other things, so going to the studio more has helped me to lock in and do a tonne of writing. Lots more coming soon.”
