Bye Parula’s ‘I Don’t Know’ arrives as the Montreal trio’s new single, released ahead of their upcoming album Something Out Of Nothing, due June 5th via Secret City Records.

Produced by Robbie Kuster and mixed by Warren Spicer, ‘I Don’t Know’ is a dance-floor-ready single built on bright grooves and tightly wound rhythms, pairing polished production with a narrative that mirrors that of its companion track. The result is a track that balances light, infectious instrumentation with an undercurrent of emotional tension, reflecting the band’s ability to merge pop immediacy with layered storytelling.

The band states:

“These were written in the same period, at the beginning of the process, and they go together. ‘Kissburn’ is told from the point of view of someone pursuing someone they’re obsessed with. They’re confident—maybe sexy, maybe ridiculous, maybe both. ‘I Don’t Know’ is from the other person’s point of view. They find the attention a little ridiculous—but they’re just as obsessed in return.”

‘I Don’t Know’ is out now and available to stream on all platforms.
