Leeds-based outfit Bug Teeth have unveiled their new single ‘Thin Circle,’ the final teaser from their highly anticipated debut album Micrographia, set for release on November 21 via State51.

Revealing the more experimental edges of their expansive sound, ‘Thin Circle’ blends IDM, ambient, and electronica with Bug Teeth’s distinctive dream-pop foundation. Produced by Joel Anthony Patchett (King Krule, The Orielles), the track continues the band’s exploration of loss and beauty, sustaining their approach of channeling grief through hypnotic and serene sonic textures.

Inspired by folk horror and taking its lyrics entirely from H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds, Bug Teeth’s PJ Johnson explains:

“‘Thin Circle’ describes a harsher perspective of grief. Inspired by the more ambient and electronic influences of the band, it came from a different writing process to the rest of the album. Drawn from Alex and PJ working together, the song is inspired by folk horror, particularly within the vocals. ‘Thin Circle’ takes its lyrics entirely from a copy of War of the Worlds in Alex’s bedroom, and through this it intends to replicate the fear that comes with loss.”

‘Thin Circle’ is out now, with Micrographia arriving November 21 via State51.
